An introductory training for the different tools there is mandatory and can be booked via PPMS. The cleanrooms are located in Lab Building West (I21).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#ffffff00;background-color:#5cc18f;font-size:4px\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"machine-shop\" style=\"font-size:26px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/machineshop.pages.ista.ac.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Machine Shop<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide special mechanical an electronic equipment for all experimentalists. We are able to design and produce systems, components or electrical devices according to the needs of your research. Furthermore, we do repair or modify existing lab equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#ffffff00;background-color:#5cc18f;font-size:4px\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"imaging-optics\" style=\"font-size:26px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iof.pages.ista.ac.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Imaging and Optics Facility<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Imaging and Optics Facility is distributed over different buildings on the ISTA Campus. The central ISTA reception is located in the 2nd Administration Building (i07). The Facility offices are located in i04.EG.037 and i06.EG.108 (building.floor.room).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All new users of the Imaging and Optics facility need to complete the \u201cintro to newcomers\u201d, before any facility equipment can be used. Researchers can learn about Open Access, Research Data Management Plans, IST Austria Research Explorer and Author Identifier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The physical library offers a quiet place to learn and study. Additionally, the library provides useful information on citation management software, which can be especially useful when finishing a thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Library online services are also accessible from your home office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#ffffff00;background-color:#5cc18f;font-size:4px\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"EMF\" style=\"font-size:26px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/emf.pages.ista.ac.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electron Microscopy Facility<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TRAININGS:<\/strong> Before anyone can use the electron microscopes or lab equipments, a successful completed training from the EMF members is required. During these trainings, you will also be instructed with our safety and booking rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TO GET A TRAINING<\/strong>: <em>Internal Users<\/em> need to <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/emf.pages.ist.ac.at\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">contact us first<\/a><\/strong> with a description of their project and what they want to accomplish. Currently we have one 600 MHz Avance IV NMR spectrometer equipped with a solution-state broad-band TBO probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All users need to participate in compulsory safety training before entering the NMR hall. Basic or advanced user trainings should be taken before the use of any equipment for the first time. The users should succeed in an on-site practical exam before getting access to the equipment of the Facility.
